Former BBC Africa Rwandese news presenter Maggie Mutesi has joined Geneva-based Global Gas Centre (GGC) as an advisor for Africa.
The talented journalist, who is also the founder of a communications firm, Mansa Media, joins GGC after a three-year stint at the BBC.
Her new role will need her wealth of experience and network traversing the continent for different media outlets.
She wrote on her social media pages: “…To say that I knew as much about the topic would be a lie, BUT I tend to find joy, fulfillment, and understanding in every session I have attended, covered, or even moderated in the past years of my career”.
The Global Gas Centre (GGC) is a non-profit organization with headquarters in Geneva that serves executives and specialists from natural gas firms who exchange ideas and practices.
She added: “I always say the things we tend to grow passion intend to grow on us, especially when we least expect it. In our professional and personal lives, it’s that extra mile of curiosity and love that usually makes a difference”.
The Makerere University graduate has previously worked with Rwanda TV and CNBC Africa.
