Seasoned business journalist Terryanne Chebet has re-joined Africa’s business TV channel CNBC Africa after a 3-year hiatus from the newsroom.
Chebet, who announced her comeback on Twitter, will join the South African-based broadcaster as a senior correspondent.
She wrote on Twitter: “I’m excited about going back to where it all began. I’ve joined Africa’s Leading Business News Channel
@cnbcafrica as a Senior Correspondent and leading Business Development in Kenya”.
This is her second stint at CNBC, working at the same station between 2007 and 2010. Her last TV assignment was at Kenya’s Metropol TV, where she worked as General Manager between 2019 and 2020.
She has extensive experience in public relations and start-ups.
It is, however, at Citizen TV, where she worked for six years, that propelled her to fame working in different capacities between 2010 and 2016.
Among those who took to Twitter to congratulate her on her new appointment include journalist Eugene Anangwe, currently Rwanda’s country manager for CNBC, and former Nation Media Group CEO Linus Gitahi.
Besides, her journalistic accomplishments , Chebet is a business lady running Keyara Botanics, a tech enabled skin care making firm.
